History
With the growing Muslim population in Henry County, Islamic Society of South Atlanta (ISSA) began with a humble beginning in 2010 with Taraweeh Prayers and Eid Salah at Red Oak United Methodist Church. After seeing the amazing turnout at the prayers held at the Church, the board of ISSA found it necessary to provide a space for the Muslim community to offer Jummah Salah every Friday which began at Brentwood Park Clubhouse. Soon with the generous support of our neighbors, ISSA was able to move to our most current location at Brooklyn Pavilion. With the Grace of Allah, now the five daily prayers, Jummah, Eid Salahs, Sunday school, lectures, and other social religious activities are offered at ISSA. Insh’Allah with your dua’s and Allah’s Blessings ISSA will continue to grow to meet the needs of the Muslim community and that of our interfaith neighbors.
